Is this an offer to every school child in Barnsley (of a certain age) or are there x amount of tickets per school and teachers choose the most deserving?

And does it require parents to go with the child? And if so do they have to pay?

I don't care, I'm just curious how it will work.

Sounds promising but I’m not really any the wiser as to what it is or how it works.

Well I think it's a great initiative. All the kids with their no.7 shirts scoring a goal in front of the Ponty on Saturday was good to see. We need new blood, too many middle aged moaners at Oakwell!
I assume it will be like the flag wavers , the club will contact schools and local sports clubs.

You have to apply to be flag bearers. I think this is will be done via the club contacting schools.
When I were a lad and the school were given tickets I don’t think parents came, there were just a few teachers as chaperones.

Yes, the local junior football clubs apply to be flag bearers, and that is also a really great experience for those taking part. It's super popular and usually booked up 6 months ahead of time. They have organised games on the academy's indoor pitch prior to the game, and they warm up on the pitch with the players, etc. Sometimes, some kids and their Parents/guardians who may not come to Oakwell get hooked and start coming to games. Some even become new season ticket holders, so this and the My Home Debut initiative's really important.

Someone actually heard what was said at Oakwell on Saturday. You definitely were not sat in ESL.
