Hard not to like Mael. Could have crumbled after a horror debut but he's come on leaps and bounds. Still a mistake in him but some of his attacking play is just tremendous. That pass to Phillips was absolutely pinpoint, nothing hoofball about it, it was like a Quarterback picking his spot, pretty close to undefendable.

 

My favourite player is Barry Cotter. He is in no way our best player or particularly ‘good’ but I like the wildcard way he plays the game.

Favouite and best are definitely very different

 

It’s not just that the opposition doesn’t know what he’s going to do, neither do his teammates…or himself half the time!

 

I know mate, and dont think you there's been a vast difference from when hes been on to when he hasn't? I mean look when he came on as a sub against Exeter. Ran the show

Yep and that’s why I love him. Get him on the ball and anything could happen - ok i know he is most likely to fall over his feet and end up in the crowd with the ball but he has a sprinkle of individuality.

 

I think he a great player one of the best in the league if not the best but some of the things I've seen this weekend, like on the mdt when he got sent off "that's it we won't win now" in another thread someone said he had been the standout player this season, he's been good but kane and Cole have been standout for me without those 2 we wouldn't be 4th. Another sating he was motm Saturday even with the sending off, I don't agree with that either. He's definitely a fans favourite and a good player who I'd rather have in the starting 11 but were definitely no one man team.
