I think we have played quite well without carving out too many chances. We are by far the superior team.
The way I see it is that Job Russell has undoubtedly got a lot of quality. We've all seen it in glimpses and he showed it at Huddersfield. However at Huddersfield he was also dropped from the team completely and sent packing due to what Huddersfield claimed was a poor work ethic. Something which Jon Russell claims was a lie and proved he couldn't trust people. Well Jon, the same is being said of you by fans of Barnsley FC and your appearances are largely confined to filling in when we have players out injured and you're basically the only midfield option left. Don't like that? Do something about it. I've always said that I hope a player has the career that their effort and determination deserves and for Jon Russell unfortunately that isn't as good a career as his ability warrants so he needs to make a decision, massively up his work rate and look back o his career when he retires feeling proud to have achieved everything he physically could. Or continue to play half arsed and be happy as a third division backup. If he needs help to change that mentality he's got and needs help to overcome what is stopping him from being the player he was for Huddersfield then I hope, and am confident, that Barnsley would support him in every way possible but that doesn't need to be on the pitch costing us vital points, we need every player giving it their all and can't afford to carry passengers.
Very hard to see from the iFollow camera angle but it looked like Cole was beyond the keeper with only a defender on the line so offside I'm afraid (unless there's a defender out of shot playing him on).
I agree that we're the superior team, but I think we've been poor in the final third and looked shaky when they've had the ball. Must improve second half.
Just had a nose on pork talk and first comment I saw was "ffs they're back out" Hahaha they seem very humble in fairness
