Can we not give the team a big thumbs up today. Another late goal, another point. 4 points from losing positions, in the last embers of the game, shows me these lads haven't gave in.
Nobody can't fault the never say die attitude, but no disrespect to shrews, we had enough to win 2 games, over the last 3 games we've had 54 shots 19 on target scored 4, had we been clinical we'd have 4 additional points, hope it doesn't cost us that's all.
Important 4 points that keeps us in the top 6, we've got a lot of talent and fight in our side that when finely tuned can beat anyone in this division, just need to find a way to be more clinical in both boxes.
Absolutely this....something folk are losing sight of - including me! Still a third of the season to go!!
Exactly! Last season there is every possibility that this would have been 0 points. We’re staying in games and proving extremely difficult to beat. Unfortunate yesterday, Connell out and manager touch line ban. Get a win Saturday and derby lose/draw and then we’re right back up there. A long way to go yet!
From position we've found our self in 4pts is amazing but with a bit more quality at both ends we win the games including Bolton comfortably. We again created enough chances and coincided a soft goal but the away record is second to non, apparently every other team in the top 7 division have lost at least 2 away games other than us with 1.
I think the most important thing is that we are noticeably improving week on week. This combined with what appears to be evidence of a fantastic mental resolve would suggest we will be there or thereabouts. I don’t think the top four are as strong as they were last season, and therefore we’ve got every chance of automatic promotion. If not, then it’s the playoffs which is a very good achievement for Collins and the players considering the hand he was dealt. I’m really warming to him.
We need to get the right hand side of defence sorted as we have conceded in the last few games down that side.
Bought a video pass last night first time in many many months. So this was the first match I have watched in ages.I thought they played well and were in control, they just lacked a cutting edge in the last third. Our keeper had very little to do whilst their keeper was the reason they got a point. We have a good side IMHO. Promotion is in their hands one way or another.
A lot of comments suggesting we're lacking the necessary cutting edge in the final third. We'd have a lot more space and find it much easier to carve out clear cut chances if we weren't chasing the game. It's tough going when the opposition are defending a lead and get men behind the ball. There might not be many great teams in this division, but they're all capable of making life difficult for opposition if they get their noses in front. Credit to the team for the way they've kept going, fighting right up to the final whistle, but we need to start getting that first goal and making the matches a little bit easier.
