All being well, this will be a major Summer for the club.

The fact we should have a manager in charge for the 2nd Consecutive season. It’s been a while, but it should not be underestimated. Just the basics in terms of knowing the squad and pre-season already arranged. Massive details that’s probably more important than any single player.….

Let's just hope we've got promoted, because if not, most of our best players are likely to leave, and more financial problems will be mounting.

I just hope collins stays. Hes becoming quite vital to us week by week, never thought i'd say that about 3 month ago. Promotion is key though, and it'd be karma if we passed our dear neighbours on the way.

Think were in for a play off place but if we miss out I hope the board back Collins. Yes we will lose some of the better player but we need to start the next campaign with decent replacements and not get to January before bringing in players like Earl who we badly needed before. Also some of the development players may come through and we need to look at keeping loan players if possible. We haven't really had a settled Team this year but next season could be better. Fingers crossed that if we do sell the board stick to getting good money like they got for Mads and Kitch...

You’re so right about the coming summer window. Irrespective of whichever league we are in we’ve accumulated a lot of dead wood which somehow or other we need shot of. We will struggle to keep hold of Kane whichever league we’re in, but I think we could hang onto Cole/Cadden if we do get promoted.
If Pines lives up to expectations then ironically our back line could be of least concern. I personally would be happier if we started the new season with our own goal keeper whether or not it’s Roberts
A lot of ifs and buts I know and yes I too get the feeling Collins will be here next season

Should Kane, Williams and Cole go on a free it will leave the club without a big summer sale to generate funds, so finances will be tight the new DOF will have his work cut out trying to get anywhere near replacing those 3 quality wise.
I think had connell played more games and hit last seasons levels we could have been looking at some decent bids for him

Although if he hits the ground running we may have offers for him in the summer which may be difficult to turn down.

It’s vital we go up this season. Mainly for financial reasons, & obviously for our out of contract players who we will have a better chance of renewing contracts. Otherwise it’s another massive re structuring with more non league gambles. Plus I think Collins would leave one way or another, lack of backing or sacked for failing to get promoted.

Given the hand he was dealt I think it would be harsh to sack Collins for a failure to get us promoted. I'm sure I read somewhere that the Board have scaled back their expectations to simply making the play-offs. A failure to get promotion would potentially have other ramifications. Key personnel out of contract so no incoming transfer fees. Astute owners at other Clubs might recognise that Collins started the season without seasoned defenders and believe he might do better with what they can offer so who's to say that Collins might, just like Duff, fancy his chances elsewhere?

    Agree with the sentiments above
Keeping NC is crucial whether we go up or not. He's started the rebuild again. what we've missed most over the last few years is consistency in the management team.

    That’s it.

Players also need consistency in the management too. I think Collins going would be a bigger blow than any of the players leaving - just in terms that we’d be starting off again from scratch.

Agree totally, Coventry and Mark Robins are a prime example of success, coming from having a settled management team
