Is there a free VPN to use for laptops. I have got proton for my iPhone which works great but I can’t seem to get it to work on my laptop? Cheers
As a rule I would avoid free VPNs. Obviously they have to make money somehow. Many of them do this by selling your data - which for many almost entirely defeats the object of having a VPN in the first place. But if you're not massively bothered, Proton VPN insist they don't keep logs or sell data to 3rd parties (they claim their premium users subsidise the free tier).
Have to agree with Marc. Shop around you'll get "special" offers for 2/2.5 years for around £60 will cover half a dozen devices.
I gave up searching for free. Most were a marketing hook. Settled on Atlas, 20 odd quid a year. And as it is via Amazon store it came off my Mrs Prime balance. Winner winner
The Proton VPN free plan only allows one device to be connected at a time , try disconnecting your phone then log in on your laptop. I've been using Proton for years & never had a problem. If you want a VPN for just browsing the internet try using Brave Browser it has a built in VPN , Brave is my main browser but I've not used the built in VPN.
Surfshark is cheap and you get 50% cash back on quidco. Message me for a referral link if you don't use quidco and I get a referral kickback too.
I've got Nord and Digibit. Nord is expensive but has some stuff I use, Digibit on the other hand works perfectly well for what you are probably needing it for and is £2.50 a month
I have a full Proton package (£90 a year includes VPN, email, password manager, calendar, drive storage) and the VPN is excellent. One of the few I've consistently seen recommended in reviews of VPNs, and it's been very good for me. Fwiw I'd avoid anything free on the internet, unless its been open source reviewed.
I use Windscribe the free ones work well certainly well enough ty try it on a match or two but you risk running out of data. I used the free one for a while then just paid which gives you no data issues and many more servers and countries. No complains from me
Ridiculous that they still have this rule that you "can't" access coverage in the country on a Saturday when it is so easy to circumnavigate it. About time it was binned.
I've always been able to using a different VPN, but that particular one wouldn't load today so I've had to sub to another and now can't cast annoyingly
