I was very impressed with this lad yesterday. Absolutely ran rings around our midfield. A big, physical centre mid, but with bags of pace who liked to drive them forward. Obviously I've not seen him other than when he's played against us, but if you could get that type of performance from him regularly, he's someone I'd love in our team. Occasionally tried to do too much, and his distribution wasn't always on point, but there's certainly a player there. Only 20 years old and currently on loan at Fleetwood from Celtic.

He looked very good, definitely one to keep an eye on especially if we lose Kane and can move Benson on.

Yep best player on the field yesterday.. just the type of midfielders we haven't got.. and don't sign. Not tippytappy enough for the spreadsheet

I was impressed with him too, he looked to have a lot of good attributes in there. Be interesting to see if he makes it at Celtic.

We can confirm the Fleetwood 5 detector at the Large Hadron Collider has recorded evidence of the presence of a Bosun Lawal.

Didn't watch the game so can't comment on his performance but could be accused of ball watching for our second and not tracking Kane?

It’s not a case of where he’s going, it’s that he’s not staying by the looks of things, unless we get promoted perhaps?. Then, he may sign a new contract, if one is offered of course.

I've absolutely no idea what his situation is at Celtic, though he's made 3 cup appearances in the 3 years he's been there, suggesting he's not on the fringes of the first team just yet.

Edit: just read on his wiki that he signed a new 3 year deal at Celtic in the summer, so the likelihood is we wouldn't get him on a permanent deal.

We were very fortunate with Ronnie. He’d burnt his bridges with Celtic AND Allan Clarke was our manager. Otherwise we wouldn’t have gotten a look in. Can’t remember much about the others but they weren’t of Glavin’s calibre. I guess they were surplus to requirements at Celtic

Owen Archdeacon wasn't same calibre but he was a fantastic player for us. Someone with calibre of Glavin could then have signed for a higher team - we signed him at a similar stage as to where we are now! Somehow Clarke sold him little old Barnsley

Strangley enough one of our current players came from Celtic ... so maybe not such a strange thing if they are guaranteed first team football. Loads of players knocking around who started at big clubs - we've had players from Arsenal, Liverpool , Man Utd and all ended up at us.

He was the best player on the pitch by some distance. Definitely worth enquiring about next season on loan

He's a real quality player and out of contract in the summer so no guarantee he'll stay with us. Always best to forward think and consider all eventualities.
