Reckon he needs to start using underlapping strikers this time

It’s weird how Burnley and Sheff U pretty much dominated the championship last year but have barely laid a glove on anyone this season. Luton look the most likely to have fight in them but, if I’m honest, I think they’ll go down too.

Back on to Holgate, a few years ago I thought he’d end up a decent premier league defender but it’s just not happened. Championship is probably his level for now.

And the bottom 3 last year to go straight back up, how pathetic & just sums up how **** English football is at present.

As the season went on our defence looked much better. Blunts on the other hand are still letting in an handful well in to the second half of the season.

Yeah the gap is too big for a lot of promoted teams. At least they’ll have parachute payments to soften the blow.

Wilders got more points in less games your argument is nil mate.

They even got there 1st away win of the season last week.

Both were really good footballing teams & tried to play the same way in the prem despite losing their best players.

Luton are much less one dimensional & have a lot of pace & power & the set piece quality of Barkley & Doughty.

Bless. You are aware they have shipped 15 goals in their last 2 home games.

and they are still easily bottom of the table.

I’m embarrassed for you at this stage so slim are those straws you are grasping at.

    Jealousy is an ugly emotion.

They haven't conceded 15 goals in the last 2 home games that's wrong.

Easily bottom? They drew level on points with Burnley last week when they won there 1st away game of the season.

They will go down but signing players like mason holgate in the January window aren't going to help you cause when he couldn't get a game on loan in the championship.

Yeah can see that. Go from dominating the ball in one division to chasing the ball in the division higher. Luton putting up the most fight but I still think they’ll be playing in the championship next season.

Blimey 3 consecutive home games where they’ve conceded 5 goals. I wonder how long it’ll be before they turn on the board.

I'd have turned on the board when needing to strengthen the defence in January the sign mason holgate for him.

I'd just like to thank dem blades for taking away our unwanted record of having conceded the most goals after 25 PL games! We conceded 61 goals after 25 PL games in 97/98 but today the blades went up to 65 goals conceded. Thank you :D:D:D

But our season was cavalier and exciting… theirs is just dire and miserable.

On another note, did anyone see the scandalous play-acting by the Blunts' Hamer in the first half? Dispossessed by a strong Brighton challenge, he went to ground, rolling around and waving his hand frantically as though he had suffered a multiple fracture. A clear attempt to get a 'levelling-up' red card for a Brighton player. Within seconds United were back in possession, he shot to his feet and darted out left to await a pass. One of the worst examples I've seen for a while. It was very observable on TV, so the League should call him in and hand out a lengthy suspension. This type of blatant cheating is spoiling the game for many people.

It happens everywhere though and there is no other word for it but cheating. It’s been going on long enough now for the referees association to recognise it and instruct referees to automatically book someone who tries to get an opponent booked or sent off. It’s not beyond the man in the middle to register the apparent “agony” a player is in and then take action when he’s on his feet completely unhurt.

This kind of thing is so obvious to spectators yet referees either don’t see it or just don’t want to stamp it out. It’s about time they did though and they’d get a lot more respect from everybody if they took the obvious action
