According to Rate the Ref, who are usually right, and presumably as a result of the revelation that Bobby Madley was a member of our Academy in his youth - and Derby fans making a fuss about it - he's been pulled from tomorrow's match. He is apparently exchanging games with Andrew Kitchen, who was down to do Charlton v Portsmouth but will now be heading to Oakwell (lucky lad).
Wonder if the shoe was on the other foot & we kicked up a fuss the higher ups would come to the same decision?
Honestly not sure how any derby fan could think someone who didn’t make it through our academy system would then start to to be biased against them. Weird. We have had crap refs all season don’t expect tomorrow to be any different.
They will be up in arms again when they find out his brother Liam played for us as recent as last season.....
It's murder on the dancefloor But you better not kill the groove, DJ Gonna burn this goddamn house right down
The only game he's ever done of ours was the play off semi final away leg last season. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/and...erein_id/349/wettbewerb_id//funktion/1/plus/0 He probably has been removed, but EFL haven't updated their website yet. https://www.efl.com/news/2024/february/19/match-official-appointments-23-27-february/
I don't think he should have been down to ref in the first place. He has a connection with Barnsley. It's not kids football!
I can see the fact that he played for our academy being a factor. Not entirely sure how much attention will have been paid to a few Derby fans bairning on Twitter though.
Derby did well getting that ref change he did his absolute best to give them a chance of being in the game today. Another poor ref once again.
He was as biased towards Derby as he could possibly have been. Every 50/50 and worse went their way. Their moaning on Twitter got them the change that they wanted but ultimately they got zilch from it. Happy days….
