I read about when he signed as manager for Citeh. He proper instilled standards at the stadium and training facilities - in terms of play and physical items.

There was an outside tap outside the changing rooms. It had been fitted poorly and dripped. He ordered it to be fixed and made perfect within 24hrs or summat. Lots of other building stuff that hadn’t been done right or not looked after. He Made sure it was all spot on.

He stated something like ‘if the club doesn’t hold itself to the highest standard, then how can we can expect the same from the players’. It wasn’t about money - it was about doing things right and ensuring what they had worked, was clean and well presented.

 

Bingo. That's me all over. Well in work life anyway (at home I can't be arsed) it frustrates me so much when people do an half arsed job or something gets bogged. I like little things to be just right and in my head I can visualise it all being perfect and know that in reality it isn't much effort or cost to do it but it's not easy to convince others.
It's exactly why I'm always moaning about the club, it's the little details.

 

Does anyone know how much the hotdogs cost at that separate stand? I get an email every week about them but it’s never said the price and I couldn’t see any by the stand either. I’m not going to go ask them and do an ‘arrrr much’ so I’ve avoided it.

 

Shouldn't have to when the law is extremely clear on prices being displayed.

I think they are a straight fiver. Not overly impressed but I was starving.
Pre-cut rolls with a hole in. Sausage (think plumrose but not as tasty) fits straight in. Choice of mustard or ketchup but no onions.

Average, but hey, it is another concession in the ground, and makes the concourse look more like ........... we do concessions.

 

They have been off two months so the resolution is overdue.

 

Cheers, Andy. That’s the level of info I enjoy when approaching something new. It sounds like the ‘Rollover’ hotdogs that used to be everywhere. I might try one sometime just because there never seems to be a queue.

 

Think the hot dog was £5.95 when I had one. Pretty basic for the price.
