No footballer would do that ever. And if you didn't want to be here you would put more effort in and look stand out so clubs are fighting for you.
Joking aren't you? So you've never ever seen a player pulling out of tackles and not giving it 100% with bigger games on the horizon. You are either very niave or not seen much football
You honestly think he's been playing half hearted all season ( I don't think that was true) because his priority was the euros with Hungary? Fair enough if you think that I think its ridiculous. He was awful away at Derby early in the season but I doubt it was because he didn't want to be injured 7 months later or whatever.
I referenced his performances with us to him wanting out and his performance yesterday as having an eye on the euros bit of a different time frame
Any sane person would think i haven't done too well in league one. I'm now playing for one of the biggest clubs in the championship if I knuckle down prove myself they will sign me.
Would anyone ever bet?unless Sunderland see abit of talent in him, millwall didn't?I doubt well get our asking price, sorry but he looked as if he had talent but he seems to be going down hill, hes better at lwb than midfield he should be playing there,he couldn't lace Philip's boots in midfield let's be right, whish him well but were not going to get the money we want, think stevie dawson was right hell end up back ere, anybody want him?I dont, dont think hell be saying good things to other players for starters.just my option.
Yes, he looked good under val but wants he done since, hes average, you saying he could get in our L1 side seriously?if your answer is no then wat would you say hes a world better.did he get a mom for us,hes frustrating,at 1 time I thought this lad could end up in prem under val scoring goals from that position, dont rate him in midfield.. wat ability do you think he has, how far do you think he can go.
If he wanted to play in midfield for us he'd be on bench, only chance hed get on is because the board want to sell him but hed weaken the team.
They seem to think he's been hard done by because they've played him as a wing back and he's a midfielder, little do they know his only solid performances consistently was from lwb! Never cut it in midfield for us, not consistently anyway. That full season at lwb under Val he was brilliant.
If his performances for us was him trying his best because he wanted to leave, then he's just not very good. Since Val left I am struggling to remember MOTM performances by him in the years since.
Not sure if this is correct. But we played Derby on the 11th Nov Hungary played Belgium on the 16th Nov. Callum played in both. Just pointing it out. But I'm still in Styles corner as a player. And his ability. Although I do think he performed way below his capabilities since he returned. He really must get fixed up in the championship or his head will still be in turmoil imo.
Sunderland Echo sez, plenty of we's n stuff!! Callum Styles explains Sunderland transfer fears before move from Barnsley after long-term interest Callum Styles discusses his transfer to Sunderland and fears the deal wouldn't happen Callum Styles says Sunderland have tried to sign him in previous transfer window and feared a move may not happen when he required an operation in January. The 23-year-old underwent surgery to remove his appendix last month, before completing his switch to Wearside on an initial loan deal from Barnsley - with a club option for Sunderland to make the deal permanent this summer. Styles was able to make his Black Cats debut during Saturday's 2-1 defeat against Swansea, returning to action earlier than expected. Hide Ad When asked about how his move to Sunderland came about, Styles explained: "It’s been around for a few windows and the old manager (Tony) Mowbray wanted me in, then Michael Beale wanted me in. It just came around in January and I thought to play at the highest level I can, and for a big team like this, I’d love to do it. Obviously I didn’t expect to have the operation, that came out of nowhere, but we got it over the line which is the main thing." Asked if he feared the move wouldn't happen, the midfielder replied: “As soon as I found out I had to have an operation I just thought that’s me done for kind of the season. I didn’t know much about it. The surgeon said six to eight weeks I’d be back and I’m back in four weeks." On how he felt when he thought the move to Sunderland wouldn't go through, Styles said: "It was gutting, especially with a team like Sunderland, but it ended up going though which is the main thing. I’m buzzing to be here and am just excited to be with this team." There has also been a lot of change on Wearside since Styles' arrival, with head coach Michael Beale leaving the club and interim boss Mike Dodds taking charge until the end of the season. Hide Ad "There are a lot of things that have happened this season," Styles added: "A lot of ups and downs, a lot of change. We’ve just got to knuckle down as a group, stick together and hopefully get some wins. He added: "Obviously Doddsy has come in and everybody loves him, but it’s not easy to put all that change behind you and to just flick the switch. It can take a bit of time, which in football you don’t really have. We just have to adapt as quickly as possible." Top of Form Bottom of Form
Having been to the stadium of light I’ve got to say it must be some buzz to play there. Regardless of whether I think it’s a good move for him or whether he deserves it he should be delighted to get a move there. What a ground.
