I heard people at Anfield said that Adam was second only to Arnold when it came to having a big bright future. He was very well thought of
Just need to get the American Brooks Lennon on board now then..... Add to the Liverpool/American connection
He’s a strange one, in the games I saw him in this season he looked lost at times. But I think he was great against Exeter despite the result and clearly played well yesterday- seems like a bit of a form player, lacking consistency.
Adam Phillips was genuinely touted as being one of the brightest prospects in English football at one point
If he could dictate the tempo of the game as well as Connell in addition to his goal involvements he'd be a regular in the Premier League.
He can get a bit lost at times but he has an incredible knack of being in the right place at the right time. Thats no fluke and is invaluable.
Agreed. I also don't remember a midfielder ever scoring so many with his head. Just thinking of our other goalscoring midfielders. Redfearn - against West Ham. Hignett - Walsall. Hourihane - did he ever score a header for us?
Agreed. there’s a decent interview with him after the game, in which he is talking about, positioning, timing, and how he’s always been good at heading.
