Portsmouth have the worst run in I reckon.. all the three just below plus Blackpool, Wigan, Oxford, Peterborough, Wycombe
We did this in 97/98, 99/00, 01/02, 02/03, 05/06, 06/07, 08/09, 11/12, 12/13, 13/14, 14/15, 15/16, 17/18, 18/19, 19/20, 20/21, 22/23. 23? I didn't realise we were this exciting.
If we can get to the 9th March weekend with 4 points on the board, that particular set of fixtures could be a turning point for us. Could see us turn from a team hunting down the top two to be firmly the target.
We have 2 tough final away games, so could do with having a clear lead before the last 4 games. I’ve just done one of those things where you predict the results of the remaining matches and I had us finishing 3rd, level with Bolton, 3 points behind Derby and 8 behind Pompey. I gave us several defeats and draws though, and had I predicted last night I would have given Bolton a point and Derby all 3, so what do I know!
Getting too far ahead of ourselves here. It'll end in tears. Just let Collins and his boys carry on doing the business and it'll take care of itself. Seen it countless times through the years and even this season. When we start adding points to the board before a balls kicked they drop a bo ll ock.
Still confident we’ll only lose one game between now and end of season. Hopefully it’s a game when others drop around us or at the very most, against one of the **** teams and not Bolton or Stevenage. Worse things could happen than lose to Pompey as I think they’ll piss the league still.
I think pompey will piss it too. We're in the mix for 2nd though. The Bolton game is a must win/ can't lose, next Tuesday.
Agreed. I think it’ll be a lot more cagey than the Derby game. Can see it being a draw. Wycombe will run us to the ground on Saturday and Bolton will have confidence after I suspect they’ll beat Cambridge at home. To be honest, after beating Derby and if we win Saturday, I’d definitely take a draw if we follow it up with a home win Saturday after. Really tough three games coming up.
The games I think we will lose from now on are Wycombe Pompey Charlton I think we will win every other game
Would that be enough? I'd say give me a pineapple because I'm saying yes. Well maybe not but you get the gist. Could we do a Man City and swap the defeats for wins?
What a great time to be almost as hard to beat as Pompey, and that’s with an arguably dodgy defence for most of the season. All to play for, and that includes top spot.
We could've done with holding on to those wins where we ended up drawing, that period around Christmas. We've only lost 6 which impressive really. If only
