In my mind it's a strange situation the loan with an option to buy deal. It really favours the buying club. If the player works out the club have first dibs on him, presumably at a pre-agreed price, so a bargain, and if he doesn't, no risk at all; send him back. Meanwhile the loaning club lose their player and only get him back if he under-performs thus potentially lowering the value or gets injured. I have to assume the loan rate his much higher to compensate for that.

I was going to mention it yesterday, but was too busy to say so.

I thought he definitely looked the part when he came on. Goal was excellent, and he didn't look out of place for a promotion chasing side.

We haven't seen if he has the dirty side of the game to make him an all rounder, but attacking wise he was excellent.

Man of the match for me was Kane. Absolutely miles in front of anyone. I'm not a kane fan by any stretch, but yesterday he was a man mountain.

Excellent result too, as at 2-1 down I didn't feel we could come from behind again and win. That was obviously something I didn't see coming. But the more the game went on, we were definitely worthy.

I've warmed to Collins too. So, I'm happy right now. You reds.

I think we have several players that could play in the championship the midfield 3 for starters.

How can someone not be a Kane fan? Is it the interview?

He’s a joy to watch on the ball. It’s rare we get players of his technical ability down at Oakwell.

If he was a few inches taller & could sprint he’d be playing in the prem.

People are allowed to have diferent opinions of the players they watch and the fact it is diferent doesn't make it invalid.

I agree but I find it hard to see how people can dislike players who are talented & give their all.

When you look at Kane the only things lacking are physical attributes that he can’t do anything about.

It’s not like he’s some flair player that doesn’t help the team out off the ball.

Many a time, he spins round and plays a sideways or safe pass backwards. That's all. He certainly has the ability, but it isn't used to the extent I'd like him to apply.

I don't dislike the player, I just don't find him one of our "greats". But when he plays like he did Saturday, I'm more than happy for him to be on the pitch.

I think its a hangover from when he played deeper when Connell was out. He was always sideways and backwards, and playing himself into trouble. Hes like a completely different player further forward now though- been truly brilliant for us - hopefully long may it continue!

Sometimes the deal is done, it’s just down to paying for them. Seems to be more common these days where people go ‘on loan’ & then sign later.

Not sure where some people think we should be looking for players but for me this is just the place to look. He was there young player of the year last year lost his way a little this season for whatever reason which means he keen to come to us and is full of potential. Give the lad time and we may well have great player on our hands for not much money.

But "not being a fan" and "disliking" are poles apart imo. Cole is our leading goalscorer and I am not a fan of his, but I don't dislike him.

i was watching the Fleetwood lads Vlog and he hit it on the head for me.

Basically he said someone like Luca Connell has a massive impact on games while not contributing massively in terms of goals or assists whereas Cole has contributed goals but his overall impact on the game is negligible.

    That seems fair

For Kane this season he seems to have been able to both impact games and contribute goals and assists
