I think there's a player in okeffe just doesn't get a look in often. Had a really good game at Peterborough away.

O`Keeffe isn`t direct enough. He turns back too often for me when he should have more courage to go down the line. This is why inspite of his shortcomings I prefer Cotter.

Cosgrove better option to start against these but there's nothing on the bench to win a game, let's hope we don't need the subs and the starting line up is good enough to get the points.

Not sure about Cosgrove. Hope McAtee available for Bolton. Otherwise looks a decent side. Would like to see Marsh on towards the end.

Probably but given O’Keeffe invariably cuts inside rather than going outside no matter what, I’d put him on the left and have Williams on the right.

Bench attacking options are so limited that we should genuinely consider asking Andy Rammell to be on there.

Cole has pretty much returned to type after a blistering start. 6 goals in 20 games. Same number as Herbie Kane.

He has had a good season and outperformed most and is a reasonable L1 forward.Others have just been poor. Can’t say I’ve changed my overall views though I’d say he really has bucked down and worked hard and that’s all you can ask if any player.

Cole got 15 last season? This season he's got 17 so far. Last season he had Norwood who worked hard grafted not the most talented but a work horse and got 11.
This season macatee has 6 watters has been poor and Cosgrove hopefully will kick on now with scoring 2 in 3.

As above the performance of other strikers has little bearing on Devante. No one hates him though some appreciate both his qualities and limitations and he has over the last season really channelled his talents and maximised them which is great. At the same time his current form 6 in 20 is a concern (though the flip of that is that he may be due a few). The recruitment of the other strikers has been poor.

15 over a season in a top 6 team is about right for an ok at that level striker. Compare it with Winnall Woodrow and Moore previously and see the difference between an ok striker and top quality ones. Devante is the best we have but that’s equally a comment on our recruitment as well as his ability.

You said at the start of the season max watters would score more than devante. Now your backtracking on that one.
He isn't as good as kieffer moore or woodrow or winnall were for us. But to score 20 goals is a good achievement especially when you look at the chances we create for him like yesterday not alot.
And I didn't say it had a bearing on the other strikers goalscoring but when your a decent side you need more than one striker to score. Like the stendel season both woodrow and kieffer were on fire.
Other than his goals scoring his pressing has been good like it was last season.

To be fair mate, I also thought Watters would get more than Cole this season and I'd guess I was far from alone! Shows what I know!

I can see why we signed Watters. If you looked at his goals and assists for the minutes he played last season he actually made a decent contribution .

Ok it’s not worked out yet, and I’m not confident it will. But everything’s easy in hindsight.

I thought watters and tedic were poor last season but I hoped he would have done better than he has. Wasn't even in the match day squad at weekend.

Collins is obviously trying to shake him up a bit by dropping him down the pecking order below Marsh.

There’s no way he was this poor last season. Plenty of us & people at the club wouldn’t have been happy with the signing if he was.

I wouldn't back Watters to score more than any of our centre backs over the course of a season

I wouldn't back Watters to score fullstop!
