Mates a Sunderland fan and says they were aware he was out of position. liked his control and ability to turn but didn't have any effect on the game 6/10 but jury still out..

I have no idea about Styles' relationship with any of the rest of the squad, his attitude, his influence in the dressing room, squad harmony, none of that.

However, if Styles were here I think Collins may have been tempted to play him at left wing-back. He wasn't so O'Keefe was selected and imho O'Keefe played his best game so far for the club. And he scored.
If Styles hadn't been selected to start, I imagine he would have been brought on to replace Connell. Instead we got Grant who again put in his best performance so far and also scored.

I don't believe the team would have played as well as they did yesterday if Styles was taking up one of the positions. I thought just about every player yesterday was more effective than Styles has been in most games this season. There were a couple of really poor passages of play from our defenders that resulted in Wycombe goals, but Styles wouldn't have been able to help with that, they were individual errors.

So I do think it's beneficial that he's not here. I may change my mind on that if we pick up a couple of injuries/suspensions to the starting midfield trio though.

It was a worrying sign when Barnsley fans were saying they’d be happy to drive him here. With the greatest of respect to Barnsley, it’s Barnsley ffs. Different if say Man City or Liverpool fans were coming out with that.

Didn’t take them long to get delusions of grandeur even after their years in the lower echelons!

Absolutely. I'd argue that Benson is better than Styles when fit also.

Good move all round for me. I liked him but he tried brokering a move away on more than one occasion so he can jog on.

100% when Bensons fit and has a run of games he’s been very good problem is he’s always injured. For me he was one of our best players a few years ago at the start of the season before he got injured he was keeping Kane out of the side. He also scored a few beauties from 30 yards if I remember rightly.
