From the Bolton forum...... "Remember: Barnsley almost always score, but they also almost always concede. There aren't many opponents like Barnsley. 2-0 down at Derby, we're f&cked. But Barnsley are...weird." He's not wrong.
I'll flip it on its head. If we'd won tonight we'd have ****** up Saturday. We've been in such fine form. They aren't machines. Keep the faith.
I think it’s the suspect last minute pen that really hurts. I’d have taken a draw before the game and had they equalised when they hit the post I’d have been gutted but thought it was probably a fair result. It’s the fact they got a very very soft penalty in the 7th minute of added time that really hurts
If I was a Bolton player I would have been boosted and motivated seeing Collins make a couple of defensive substitutions, including for a short while playing one up front at home.
Why are you so knee Jerk? There's loads of games to go, every side in the top 6 us included will drop points between now and the end of season it's inevitable, sure its disappointing but its a far cry from automatic promotion being over.
No knee jerk reaction from me as tonight was a must not lose, we’ve done that. What is criminal is that a change was needed earlier and what’s even in their lad has come from behind the majority of our team to score the rebound… on your toes ffs! First rule of football…
Didnt lose. Ok ref was gunna play til they scored. Win gsme in hand in 2nd 3 winmable games b4 pompey
Let's be honest playing like that it's a good point. They score 5-10 mins earlier they win. Gutted obviously but 11 from last 5, decent run in. Sat 16th March massive: us v Cheltenham, Derby v Bolton and posh v pompey. Winning next 3 not impossible should get 7 minimum. All to play for. 1 defeat in 18. You redzzzzzz......
Can’t argue much with that. Yes a poor way to concede so late on, but they definitely earned their point for me. We went 2 up then immediately stopped doing all the things that got us there. It was more a don’t lose than a must win for me, so it’ll do me. Still, poor game mgmt at 2-0
Oh Lord (if you exist) please make me more thankful than I feel for a point that we didn't really deserve.
NTT20 podcast seem to love us mostly because of this kind of madness. I can definitely see it, if you're a neutral! They'll have loved tonight, I reckon.
This is how I feel. 2-2 at Bolton, 2-2 at Oakwell. Two evenly matched sides fighting for promotion. Just sticks in the craw because it's a Wednesday fan awarding a soft penalty.
Just back from the game, and we were very lucky to get a point, Devante Cole is bone idle and Collins should have hauled him off at halftime, Cosgrove would've held it up more taking some pressure off. That being said Bolton are no mugs and a point keeps us in the hunt. Just a word about Donovan Pines, he gives me the shivers, I hope he's a fast learner because he's very suspect at the moment.
The kick off after their 2nd goal was brain dead. They'd been going straight through us most of 2nd half so let's give them the ball back. Stupid.
For 65 minutes everything pretty much went to plan but from then on we couldn’t sustain any attacks and Bolton took over. They seemed to have better attacking options than us especially off the bench and if I’m honest i can’t recall their keeper having to make a save all game. Not the end of the world but even though we’ve improved our defence on paper we just can’t keep a clean sheet to save our lives, it’s frustrating.
