What did you make of Mr Bell's performance.

It was epitomised for me by him reprimanding Kane, whilst simulateously allowing Bolton to take a quick free kick.

Poor performance, though got their penalty decision right.

Can’t give him more than a 2 for being yet another of the “you’re the biggest club with a manager who has the biggest mouth and I don’t want to upset you” merchant. Surrounded by Bolton players every time he gave a decision against them, which was rare, and seemed determined to keep playing until they at least got a point. The match should have been over before the highly debateable pen.

Awful, and his assistants. The one on the West Stand side who had previously flagged for fouls for Bolton , somehow didn’t see need to flag for a blatant push that should’ve been yellow-carded. Having said that the ref shouldn’t have needed him because it was so blatant. Unfortunately this led to the penalty, which after watching time and again is not clear cut. Very poor display, 1 from me

1 for turning up, and barely deserves that considering he only had to come from Sheffield. Finnicky, inconsistent, key decisions had a major influence on the outcome of the game. Obviously couldn't wait to give the penalty. They're probably still cleaning up his spunk now.

Overall Bolton were definitely worth a draw, but the fact that his awful decisions directly influenced the outcome of the game is hard to swallow.

The worst we've had since the Wembley debacle, and a clear front runner for the Golden Kettle.

Whilst he may well have got the penalty right (the highlights only show the two players falling to the ground so difficult to say it was a clear foul or a bit of 50-50), there were others in the extended highlights he should have given as well. Hard to justify letting the others go and giving that one.

Just seen highlights as i was in work. Never a pen players tussling in box which u see 6 or 7 times a game, 98th min if u freeze on point of tussle he has very very little point of sight and as thr player goes down he is guessing.

It should never have got as far as awarding a penalty due to the blatant shove on Cosgrove at the other end.(one of many he let go, I might add) in the lead-up. Apart from that I thought he had a pretty good game from a Bolton perspective.

Why was a self confessed Wednesday fan allowed to referee a Barnsley match?

From my view ESL back row, the shove wasn't blatant. Yes Cosgrove went down and claimed a foul and could it have been given but I didn't see a blatant shove.

I think the penalty was soft at best but I don’t think it was necessarily wrong. However the shove on Cosgrove was a clearer foul and I’m unsure how that wasn’t given if the penalty was.

I did think he might have given Bolton a penalty earlier on when Pines had a good hold of their lad’s shirt as he ran in on goal, and I thought 8 minutes added time was excessive even considering the stoppages for Roberts ‘injury’ and other bits and pieces.

Definitely got the feeling the Bolton team and staff got in his head and influenced him, and he let them take throws and free kicks form the wrong place all night, only making them take a throw again once when he’d pinched about 25 yards.

Not very good at all, though not all of his errors went against us.

    3/10

EFL regulations state that teams like Barnsley cannot complain over anything

I still don’t know how anyone’s got a strong view either way on the pen. They must have seen a clip I’ve not been able to find.

Thought he was very poor - Should have given Bolton a Pen when Pines pulled back their guy as he only got off a tape shot, Not conviced the one he gave was correct and only got that far because he and linesman both ignored a blatant push on Cosgrove just before. Missed a stamp on Kane and generally was poor - given him a 2 - now Ive calmed down a bit - would have been a 0 if the poll had been up last night

I don't think they'd have much say in it unless they'd made a complaint about him in the past that was upheld. The fact is he's a Sheff Wednesday fan, so what... its a game of football in a division that Wednesday are not involved in... he could if he wanted not declare any allegiance but actually be a secret Derby supporter... much better that his preference is public.

6/10 Seen far worse, on the whole fair between both teams. We brought the pen on ourselves with our tactics and from his view would have looked a nailed on pen, so can't grumble about that being given really.
