Looked at the remaining fixtures,in my opinion we've got the easiest on paper closely followed by Derby then Bolton. Thoughts ?
Game at a time. We still have Portsmouth, Peterborough, Stevenage and Blackpool as well as other tricky ones against teams fighting for something. Exeter are a decent side too. No easy games now, need to be on it in each game. Bolton will take some stopping if last night and particularly that second half is anything to go by. They were fast, strong and skilful with the dark arts thrown in.
Bolton fixtures look tough on paper with Derby, pompey, Peterborough, stevenage and Oxford all still to play. But no team is going to just sit back and defend like we did last night for 40 minutes.
Football isn't played on paper, it's played on grass. We need to work out how to keep clean sheets and fast. We won't be able to score loads of goals, we'll have to try and grind out some 1-0 wins.
Love this time of year. If we win here and they lose there and.... Means only one thing...Cricket season's just around the corner. HUZZAH....
Looking at it from another perspective Bolton could easily have been 3 down before they got their first goal after over an hour.
It’ll be interesting. A game like Blackpool away sounds tough on paper but they might have nothing to play for. A game against a relegation contender on the same weekend could end up been trickier
Whatever happens it's going to be exciting. I don't think Portsmouth will **** things up and IMO they will win the league title, therefore possibly 4 teams fighting for that second automatic spot. There's no doubt points will be dropped by teams in the top 6 at various stages and I certainly don't agree that we have an easier run in. We've got to take it one game at a time, Lincoln will be a very tough game on Saturday.
Oh aye, I forgot. That was game away where Williams burst through middle with three of ours with him, and when he felt their player catching up he held his arms out asking what to do!
