I honestly can’t remember. Just phoned the wife, but she too is useless at remembering. I’d love it if you have the original layout. @Tykeofthetown i am 42 and also riding the nostalgia wave!
I had my retina appointment screening done yesterday at the Glasshouse. Had an option of that or the hospital. There are other depts in there as well.
I rang the hospital for an appointment. I was given a choice. Next day cancellation at the Glasshouse I chose.
Because I assume cos I was contacted by the hospital directly and not an agency to book my appointment. This will help hopefully answer your question. https://theglassworksbarnsley.com/tenants/nhs-community-diagnostic-centre/
I know this thread is about the Alhambra but I've just found the original store list for meadowhall when it opened 34 years ago on my phone, everything else is on my computer but thought I'd post this anyway.
No link mate but copied and pasted the NHS side of things. Barnsley Hospital is planning to move some of its outpatient services out of the hospital into the new hub at the Alhambra. This will help reduce missed appointments and help improve health outcomes for people who will be more able to access vital services in a place familiar to them rather than having to go to hospital. It's estimated more than 100,000 visits a year could be made to the Alhambra instead of Barnsley Hospital, reducing traffic and pressure on parking in the area around the hospital, while also bringing more visitors and economic benefit into our thriving town centre.
It’s just the sheer volume of people wanting to turn into the car park after lunch. When it’s full. And not giving a monkeys that they’re blocking the road.
That’s the fault of the corner shop sized car park entrance right next to the entrance to the hospital, still don’t know why they haven’t utilised the oversized path and made a dedicated filter lane for the carpark as that’s the reason for the hold up
