His subs were useless. What's the point bringing on a couple barely five minutes into the second half wasting our own time when we are losing? What did he see in those five minutes that he didn't see in the first 45? Just bring them on at half time.
Not sure it would have had much difference to be honest. Personally would have taken Cole off though.
You saw more than me. Imo. Totally inept In all depts today. I wouldn't argue with any of the substitutions. No one covered themselves in glory. Except Cadden possibly..caused problems in the 1st half. Cole missed a chance. But created a couple more that others screwed up. . Bad day at the office. We go again Tuesday. Yooooooooo redddddddds
You are a total idiot mate, do you just randomly post Sheet after each game to wind folk up?…McAtee’s first touch let him him down so many times first half it’s unreal…..but he could have took anyone off today cos we were so inept!…. a tip for thi pal, stick to talking about Glassworks n Alambra centre because tha knows f all about football…..
McAtee is one of those who has been off it for a while. It's only a bad decision to take him off because you've got the choice of Cosgrove or Marsh to come on. Watters must be so useless in the manager's estimation that he's not worth a thought. Swing and a miss. Sums all our strikers up, today and for the last couple of seasons. We've had a catalogue of recent acquisition disasters up front in terms of forwards. 2 Belgians, 2 Scots, 2 English etc......
His subs are always useless and always will be useless because everyone on the substitutes bench is useless. The starting XI are clearly tired and in desperate need of freshening up but understandably he doesn't trust anyone outside the current starters enough. Ok, Grant looks a tidy footballer, bit look at the rest today. Cosgrove - a carthorse who constantly concedes free kicks. Marsh - a slower, weaker Watters who has done nothing to suggest he shpuld be anywhere near a League One squad - i will be kind and say 'yet' - even on loan spells way down the pyramid. Russell - well, if you can't say anything nice then its better not to say anything at all i guess. The first 12 or 13 in the squad are good and them the quality massively falls off a cliff. He's got no options at all.
The problem is we have poor strength in depth anyway. Beyond Cole & Mcatee who can we look to if plan A isn’t work up front? The same goes for midfield, Connell gets injured/ill who can we replace him with? Russell? Not ideal. And we all know the problem with the defence before the end of January at least. The fact is we are very lucky to be where we are, & we have Collins to thank for that, poor recruitment in the summer has made it very difficult to challenge for top two.
I assume that was because he’d taken his 10th booking and misses the next two games. He brought on Grant to try get him up to speed for when he’ll be starting.
