I was listening for his post match interview last night, but they gave up waiting for it after 30mons and left.
Paul Simmo gives us real credit there, and I appreciate it when managers are honest enough to do that. But he always comes across as a manager who looks and sounds really worried and scared lol. And maybe he never ever loses his temper!.
“A level above?” I would have said we were playing at least two levels above them last night which makes it a bit disappointing that the score wasn’t at least 5-0. 3-2 looks like a close game and if wasn’t
THIS. We were bloody awful last night. 80% of us there thought we were likely to concede a 3rd. A relief of a win rather than a powerful performance. PS: Simpson refreshingly honest for a man who makes his living from a sport full of cheats & bullshitters.
Were you watching a different game?!? We were on top for the middle hour or so, but as with most opponents, they opened us with ease at the start and towards the end.
It never really crossed my mind that we might concede an equaliser to be honest. It should have been a comfortable win but i suppose we’re used to the uncertainty these days
No of course I wasn’t. Maybe I didn’t make it clear enough. We SHOULD have been able to put that game to bed early on but, as usual this season, we took too long to get going and then went a bit dozy towards the end. I only meant it should have been a comfortable win but we let them make it a closer score line through our dodgy defending Perhaps our defence likes to keep it entertaining instead of boring 5 or 6 goal wins?
