Well the figures are relevant as you've only come to that conclusion by using those figures. I'd estimate that there are less well off pensioners as there are less well off young families, declaring one set more in need than the other isn't helpful or accurate.

I completely agree a £65 increase to sit in the Ponty end isn't a slight increase but we haven't increased prices by £65

My contempt for the pensioners of this country derived is from more than just that one figure, believe me, however, the fact one quarter of UK Pensioners having assets of over £1m isn't relevant in itself. The point is if one quarter of the demographic has that much, what proportion has over £500k? Or 250k? Probably a fair few, perhaps even some living in Barnsley, perhaps even some posting in this thread! And that being so, is it really fair to give such a substantial discount to the group as a whole? And if the club are giving discounts based on age, then maybe it makes more sense to target that help towards the supporters of the future, or to tie discounts to means-tested benefits like Pension Credit or UC.

Don't think ST prices have ever been means tested though so age comes into it I'll miss out on the 60 benefit because I had to take a break from having a ST due to small children, hopefully it will stay at 65 though!

Only @Bossman that I can think of. Very old and very minted.
@Gally also in the top 1% but still only on his mid-50s.

More money from ST’s means more lower league punts in the summer rebuild window

But it's only the second increase in 12 months sorry 7 years and this year it guarantees you your seat for all 23 league games.

I kind of think positive like that too, but would hate us to get there and struggle like Rotherham. Really hope we can consolidate there again for a time.

I dont think they will treble match day tickets. Id expect them to be similar. I think part of the motivation is for those buying extra space for a tenner. They may still do that for 29 quid mind.
Would be good in future if they could base the prices on %attendance or something or if tickets are handed back for Midweek games for instance.

Well I think I’m out this season. Not sure it’s worth full cost when I miss an average of 10 games a season as I cannot make weeknight games due to the distance. Was hoping there might be a flexi ticket type offering.

So, logged in to check the renewal - and the u19 price in the family stand which is advertised at £109 is coming through at £119.

I’ve emailed them and I’m sure it’ll either be fixed (or they’ll change the ad and say it was wrong to begin with as it’s 119 everywhere else) - but it isn’t too clever is it? Advertise the prices, put them on sale - and not do it right.

    With you on that
I'd guess a flexi ticket would be a great idea. But certainly wouldnt be in the clubs best interests b4 the start of the season. You can only hope. But I'll try mentioning it at the next meeting. Certainly one to put forward at the next Advisory meeting.

10 games you'd still be looking at £200+ I would imagine.

I know 2 ex colleagues. Who share a season ticket at Anfield. (I'm not sure if it's legal.)
One lives in Chesterfield. The other moved to scarborough. Not sure how they work it out, Which games they each get. but they do.

It was mentioned. And I 100% agree. It took a while to get my head round it. Its apparantly to reward those that have had one in the last 3yrs (not necessarily continuously) as apparantly (and Gally might remind me of the word used), there is a big turnover of old not renewing.
And it's a reward for those and not a punishment of new ones.
I hope I've put that over right. Forgive me if not. I struggled with it and was at the meeting.. Hence Band A and Band B.
