Lincoln are flying 5,6,5 goals for in last 3 games, won’t fancy playing them in the playoff! The teams coming in with form at the last minute always end up doing well.
Woeful decision lettin norwood go. The rest of midfield and up front are same as last season and under duff looked decent going forward.
Highly likely we'll be 5th, they'll be 6th. Not confident we'd beat anyone above us, to enable us to play Lincoln in the final.
Woeful ..but only let two less in than us this season.. Leeds did us 10 last July on the training ground.. but some thought, 'its only a friendly we'll be ryet' ..we had plenty of warning..
Frustrating performance. This next break of almost two weeks will, hopefully, help everyone before the run in. It's easy to select individuals who aren't the flavour of the month and lay all the blame on them. A big month coming up.
I think that the majority in this thread are looking too far forward for our problems today and selectively over a number of the last few games. I haven’t got the figures for this but my perception of the match today was that I would think that the three most touches for the Reds would be the three centre backs. Today we expected them to repeatedly set up our attacking play by launching aimless balls after tip tap balls between the three of them more often than not ending up with Earl playing long or even worse taking on players he ought to be letting others better equipped than him try to do. All this did was slow up our play when quicker ball to our wing-backs - particular Cadden who provided just about all the quality ball we had today. We’ve got stop thinking our defenders are Bobby Moore, Franz Beckenbaur or even Mads and Kitching and try and play to our strengths because it surely isn’t letting our central defenders having the majority of our possession!
Far too many excusing Collins and saying the players weren’t good enough. I mean they’re not. But he isn’t blameless. His setup and tactics made us toothless and clueless. His team selection was questionable at the very best. It was woeful today. The first half was passable, we were arguably good for the first ten minutes. Second half completely unacceptable. I don’t boo nor would I consider it productive but JAQ is well out of order calling out the fans on it. This stagnation and poor side is on her watch. We will do well to finish mid table next season if we don’t go up. Some good sides are coming up from league two, the sides coming down from the champ will compete, we won’t have much if anything to spend and we will lose some of our better players for nothing. We will be a car crash if we do go up. But it’s also an issue if we don’t.
Well in front of 7th place by 10 points with a game in hand. playoffs are on and were in a good position. lets hope with 2 weeks off we can get Pines back and Kane pulling the strings. it's not over till it's over and it sure ain't over...
If we can't make top 2 we need to go into the playoffs with winning form.Theres no team in the play off places who we should fear.
Something that summed us up today for me was about 20 minutes to go. Their deepest player was stood in the centre circle, our most advanced player was on the edge of our box. And it wasn't a set play.
