Probably because we had 18 goal attempts and still couldn't score against one of the worst teams in the league.
I was actually more pissed off with that 2nd half performance today than the shoeing Lincoln gave us last week. Zero urgency from the players and Collins seemed happy to stand there and allow it
Because here don't speak for most people in the stadium. Although I don't like booing. I like oakwell getting behind the team when we are struggling
Can't educate pork. Needs to be some bans handed out soon. Noticed the same section of the Ponty end were singing the same racist/sectarian song again too
There we plenty of free open spaces first half for runners, and Cosgrove isn't one of them. I think if we are going the route 1 aerial bombardment approach in the last 20 minutes, with them defending deep, it's better if Cosgrove and Cotter come on then and Cole starts.
I’m trying to stay positive but it’s difficult! I absolutely despair for some of our passing at times, today Philips only had to put the ball somewhere in the vicinity of his man to set him clear through and he couldn’t even do that Our forward play looks laboured and our strikers pretty much impotent, how the hell Cole has scored as many as he has is a mystery to me, diving at that ball in the area was embarassing and Cosgrove seems to move in slow motion. We seem to have no idea how to move up a gear when needed with little variety. Recruitment has a lot to answer for I suppose , too many similar players leaving little variety off the bench. We would have to be bad to blow getting into the playoffs but with Lincoln seemingly scoring for fun and others scoring regularly, we would really have to up our game!
64 minutes in after the IRA chant I expected a tanoy announcement. Could find ourselves in bother for not mentioning it when it was clear as day.
Because they were just about to put their library books down and break into a song, then he blew the whistle
Its nothing to do with cashflow. We wouldnt pay any transfer fees out in one lump sum either. Just a stupid argument.
Yep, the booing was bizarrely loud and quite surprising to me. I've sat through many far worse performances than that. Sure it was a bit lacking in passion and that bit of a spark to break the deadlock, but don't think it was for wont of trying. Enough decent chances to win that and any other game. I'll assume the booing was just borne out of frustration at missing the chance to keep us in the mix for top 2.
There needs to be a real conversation in the fanbase about why the only season in the past 8 years we’ve over achieved there’s been no fans there. It’s honestly becoming very toxic and twitter is an absolute cesspool at the minute. People abusing each other, constant negativity regarding everything, people tearing down each other to fit their own agenda. Seems to be a real fickleness as well that’s more prevalent then ever.
I don’t have a problem with booing at the end of the game, you take the plaudits and the criticism,it’s during the game and at Half-time where it’s counter-productive.
Why anyone in leadership at a football club takes to twitter, is beyond me. Absolutely pointless waste of energy.
Fans sometimes fall out with each other when the team are not very good or not doing well. Not nice but that's what happens. To go back to the original point I suspect people were booing because frustration has been building for quite a while. Its not just today's failure to beat Cheltenham, its a reaction to several performances which have been uninspiring. Even some games which have been won have been uninspiring, 'lucky' or dull. Its no surprise to me and I can see why. I dont boo at matches (I tend to leave early when its dreadful) but I can perfectly understand people who have paid a lot of money get really fed up and booing is just a way of saying things aren't good enough
