Why the Hell have they changed the colours? I hope they don’t sell one shirt!!! Not one other country in the world would change their colours so why should we?
It's a tiny motif on the back of the collar. I genuinely couldn't care less, but it appears to have triggered all the usual gammonati suspects (not you, jc!), so I'm all for it. The outcry should be about the price of the shirts, not a bit of bloody embroidery.
I've just had a look at a load of other teams' kits history and they've all changed their crests' colours loads of times. Would you be so angry if the cross were in black, or navy blue or gold?
I have no problem with changing crests and colours within reason, but I don't recall any nation having their national flag altered, stand to be proven wrong but I can't recall another nation having the colours of their flag faffed with, they may have adopted a different crest etc no problem with that but England's flag is red and white why are we making it purple ?? Either leave it off or leave it be
Why does it need changing? We all get diversity, why do we need a national symbolic emblem altering? I’m sure the Welsh wouldn’t like there dragon tinkering with
The badge on the chest is exactly the same for you flag shaggrs. You'd better stick to missionary if the tiny little motif on the collar offends you. I'm sure there was a snowflake post not so long since about the permanently offended....
I did say I didn't have an issue with changing the crest, England have a gold crest on the purple shirt, the Italy shirt is gold badges on a green background, they didn't change their flag tho did they?
Their flag contains green, so to put a flag containing green onto a green shirt wouldn't be feasible, hence they've put the flag on the darker collar and gone for a gold crest, in keeping with tradition they left the home shirt
I don't think that's the case, it's a completely different green for starters. Regardless, they've changed the colour of the National flag for design purposes, that's the point Mansfield_red was making. Personally, I don't see an issue with it, though I don't have any special attachment to our country's flag.
