    There will be an element of racists who want to jump in the bandwagon to peddle further hate then there will be people, including myself, who just don’t get why there’s a need to change something that’s not broken. Like I said earlier, would the Welsh be happy if they adorned their dragon with various colours, I’d suspect not.

    I apologise for being flippant with you earlier. Obviously, I understand your point.

    I just don't get why it matters. There clearly isn't any malicious intent, it's not a political statement, or done to support any particular group, religion or political party. The colour of the away kit itself is a mix of all of the traditional England football colours. It's a representation of the football team, rather than the country, similar to the 3 Lions.

    Predictably it's a certain type of person getting upset about it on social media (I'm not categorising you with them by the way). It's part of the reason I've disassociated myself from our national flag. It's used by the right to display their nauseating obsession with a world gone by.

    No apologies required mate, it just feels a totally pointless move imo, a think a lot is done already to unite and inspire different genders and ethnicity’s but why Nike feel it’s ‘playful update’ as they call it, is beyond me……I’ll certainly not be losing sleep over it but a feel at times things if this nature should be left how they’ve been for hundreds of years

    I mean I get that far right numpties are often seen bulldog tattoos, shaved heads( I also have a shaved head) wearing a St George’s t-shirt but doesn’t mean everyone should be shamed into not wearing it. Only place I’ve seen it as acceptable is at Twickenham.

    Early 2000's is 20 years ago at 48 years old that's neigh on 50% of my lifetime so to me it is tradition.
    As for flag waving not sure what that's supposed to mean? I'm patriotic and proud of it, doesn't make me racist, right wing or anything of the sort, not that you suggested it.
