Far be it for me to bang on about the past, but was there any footage from the game where he scored the late winner having not been sent off?
Apparantly. DI Canio allus made an effort to get sent off b4 xmas. To get to visit family in italy over the xmas period. Most blatant attempt to get sent off in a game I've ever seen. In the officials face the entire game. Then scored the winner. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. Ref must've been given a backhander by the wendy manager not to take action aware of the situation. That's my theory anyway
Urgh - just watched it. No coverage of the Di Canio incidents. Just a mention in the commentary “he could have been red carded”.
Was horrible feeling when they pinched that winner, we played well again and didn’t deserve to lose. Coming away from ground having to listen to them D I CANIO chants will last a lifetime the Wednesday thwarts!!!!
It came up in conversation last night. Obviously Mr Fired said Di Canio didn’t deserve to be sent off.
I'd like to like that but I think you know what I mean. Paolo White Pumps we called him. Warra lovely person.
I think that deserves the same as di canio did. Full on, in yer face rant. And no hows yer father, till he concedes. in fact no hows yer father at all for just being a wendy.
Stood in the open corner of leppings Lane that night got absolutely drenched, the goals we conceeded were awful defending. Like how best goal of the night gets shown only once obviously edited by a fowl.
Was in the cantilever with a mate at this one. Was absolutely gutted! Didn't help having all the smug gits around us
One of the most annoying refereeing decisions against us in my time as a Reds supporter and I went to my first game in the 1960s.
