But this isn't true. We completely changed the defence? Pines, Earl coming in meaning Williams back to rwb. We also got better attack depth in midfield, Grant has looked good in his cameos
Disagree. Our signings were good and got us to a strong first XI, but we didn't build on that, as Derby & Pompey both did. Imagine if we'd picked up a seasoned striker or experienced midfielder to supplement our squad. We're relying very heavily on players staying fit or avoiding suspensions for these last eight games.
Yes but we can't just bring players in who aren't the right fit or who are far too expensive. We have 4 'experienced' strikers as it is, and then Marsh and Jalo on top of that. In midfield we have Kane, Phillips, Connell, Russell, Grant, Benson, Wolfe, Vimal and a million youngsters. We have even more defenders than we do midfielders. We need to offload before we can continue to bring in, we were bleeding money. Theres a reason 'big' clubs are in this league, and its because they've spent well above their means. But to say we didn't improve the squad is just wrong bud. I would have liked an experienced midfielder who I have no idea about what happened, perhaps we tried, perhaps we couldn't afford, perhaps one dropped through with 10 minutes left
The experienced striker Derby fetched in was Dwight Gayle(now injured btw), do you honestly think we can compete with such a signing as that, you are dreaming mate
This thread is a right load of Cobblers lol. Hey let's hope Derby don't hit back to win though, or it will be a right load of ballax instead!.
We really didn’t. I agree re defence but midfield and attack we didn’t add anything at all. Grant was yet again another lower league punt that wasn’t what we needed at the time.
