British music experience nr docks for ferry on the mersey. interactive and loads of info from early years of Rock/Pop to present in UK..Covers Beatlemania. Beatles Experience is a must as is all the stuff mentioned above..enjoy
How long you there for? Beatles covers bands play most weekends in The Cavern. Great fun. Especially the Japanese one I saw a couple of years ago. Couldn't speak a word of English but reproduced the songs with incredible accuracy!
The British Music Experience is good, they have a bit with lots of guitars that you can have a go on. There are 2 "Cavern Clubs" one is basically just a pub but they have bands on, often Beatles music in the afternoons. Lots of musical items (mostly guitars) on display donated by famous musicians that have played there. The other is across the street and is a club so you pay to get in (not been in there). Sadly neither of them are in the original cavern. The best place to eat is Renshaw Street Food Market (street food).
We’ve been a lot and done it all. do your own car trip to Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane, John and Paul houses, Cavern club, Beatles museum, the statues
Far better than the Tavern in Liverpool - Mexican/ American food during the evening- it's nothing special and recently changed hands after a dodgy health inspection! There's a Beatles tour you can do - bus or some of the Taxi drivers do one as well. Used to live above the barbers mentioned in the Penny Lane song- often got tourists snapping away outside. They recently installed a statue of John at the top of the street.
We are there now. As well as all the usual suggestions we are going to see ‘Come Together-The Lennon & McCartney Songbook’ at the Royal Court Theatre. It’s on most nights until 6th April with reasonable ticket prices and no booking fee. Liverpoolsroyaltheatre.com
This site is incredible …. An enquiry was quickly followed by informative information which , I’m sure proved good for many of us who weren’t really planning a trip. I may do so now !
I would personally recommend the magical mystery bus tour. We were lead by Holly Johnson's brother, and they did all the sites - all the childhood homes, the church where Eleanor Rigby resides,Strawberry fields and Penny Lane ect. We'll worth the shekels
