For the last few months whenever I print something from my laptop to my printer wirelessly nothing happens unless I run the troubleshooting action then it works……..I’ve tried uninstalling the printer and reconnecting but it still won’t work……the router is only a few yards away so I’m assuming it’s not a connectivity issue……

Can anyone shed any light on this?

    TIA

Have you tried making sure laptop is switched off before turning on your printer?
I know my iPad won’t find the printer if it is already on before I switch the printer on
It might sort it out for you

Your printer drivers are probably out of date or corrupted. Try redownloading them.

Is it a HP? I have all sorts of shenanigins - always have. When it gets in a proper pickle, I open CMD as administrator (run as) and type
net stop spooler && net start spooler

Usually fixes it for a while.

I will never buy a HP product again. The usual "click here and follow the instructions on the screen" never works, ever. Everything is totally different to the on-screen instructions. I changed our home WiFi password recently - big mistake. It took me 5 hours to connect my HP wireless printer using the new password, including a factory reset and several power cycles. I'm amazed that HP actually exists.
