Apologies if it was a repeat that has been discussed before, but I found that an intriguing watch; fascinating. Wonder if Wales will ask for their stones back
Everyone knows that Stonehenge is where the flying saucers landed while people had nookie and celebrated the solstice.
I suppose it’s something you should see at least once in a lifetime. I used to live at Durrington, a couple of miles from the stones, and saw them quite a few times whenever we had visitors. This was in the 1970s and 1980s though and you could actually walk amongst the stones instead of just seeing from a distance. There used to be a free festival across the road as well and big names like Hawkwind played there. It was a fairly low-key event until the police finally stopped the great unwashed from travelling to it so it came to an end. I always thought the Avebury stone circle was far more interesting than Stonehenge though.

Not Stonehenge, but remember school trip to Hadrians Wall. 3 hours on the bus, to basically see nowt more than a ill maintained dry stone wall about 4 foot high. Could have just driven us to Penistone. It's a rather underwhelming thing.
Then there was the infamous Black Sabbath tour when a Stonehenge stage set was actually designed in metres instead of feet! https://www.loudersound.com/news/geezer-butler-black-sabbath-stonehenge-spinal-tap
Drove past em a few times but never had the interest to pay em a visit, rocks in a field built by some really strong people a really long time ago, an nobody really knows why, who by, or what it is, not interested. Looks good though.
