In respect to his personality I think that's just his accent. Andy Murray came across the same. Can't blame him for that. But absolutely can criticise him for saying that large parts of the performance were more than capable. If that's what he's told the players then no wonder they continue to play in such a negative way. The manager is praising them for it Jesus Christ you out of touch toss pot, no they were not. We were ****, utter utter ****.
He makes the score whatever he wants it to be by dismissing the opponents goals and turning all our chances into goals whilst totally ignoring the general feel of the game. Lee Johnson made a very good living out of it but ultimately got found out at every club.
The players do look to have given up. MDG should have had an arm round him after the goal, instead he got an arms raised rant from his 'captain' minutes later for a misplaced pass. Also, any sign of 'togetherness' would have seen one or more of our players take the abhorrent Lyle Taylor out of MDGs face after the error. I mean personally, I would have sparked him out, but at least a sign of having your teammates back would have shown some team spirit.
Very true. when we brought him in I looked at his CV of playing at this level and thought this guy understands our league and will be the archetypal ex tough nut defender with bite and grit....dunt come across that way tho does he..
