I was referring to the comment that the fans are '' slowly turning '' against him.... which is not really the case for a sizeable minority...quite a few of whom wanted him gone in the first few games.

Is he winning over his doubters?

He'll never win over some of his doubters... the same people calling for his sacking in September went quiet for a long time but are now back in force.

This post implies there is some empirical argument to contradict what they say.
    In response I say this:
    Last 3 home games
    1 point from 9
    1 scored
    7 conceded

Could do a lot worse up front than trying to sign Ryan Hedges to play with Josh Benson :D

I don't want Collins sacked either. It wouldn't feel right given him being persuaded to leave his job in America.

However, flipping things on their head. Couldn't Warnock come in and guide him a bit?

The obsession with Warnock is bizarre. A 75 year old working class hero who won 0% of his league games in his last job.

What's the appeal? All he does is offer soundbites.

A season is much more than the last 3 home games... the last 3 away games have produced a full house of 9 points... no-one in the division has matched that.

A guy with an affinity with us. Cares more than anyone will know. Who offered to come and keep us up and was spurned by Mr Lebanese Flatbread.

Don't forget the Bolton game prior to that as well. 2 up against a promotion rival and he panicked and went defensive and drew 2 all.

2 points when 12 points were there for the taking.

Warnock demands a huge amount to come in and troubleshoot.

We've been dry loved since then. That was a seminal moment.

    True but a tad misleading.

No-one in the division has played both of the bottom two in their last three away games either. I’d suggest most of the division would fancy their chances at Carlisle and Fleetwood.

The other game was bottom half Wycombe too.

It happens, they're a top side with big money players, but someone put a stat on here recently that Collins substitutions had produced the most points in the league... you win some etc.

It's not misleading at all.. purely representative of the results under Collins, we have had 18 away games and stand top of the pile with 39pts from them, 1 more than Portsmouth, 7 more than Derby and 10 more than Bolton.

Indeed. It's been a weird, unprecedented season for us. I can understand the frustration at the majority of our home performances, but if we had recorded 11 wins, 6 draws and just 1 defeat at home, and 9 wins, 5 draws and 7 defeats away, I think there would be far less dissatisfaction amongst supporters. Those clamouring for the sacking of Collins are completely ignoring the fact that this season we have the best away record in our history.

That’s not right. Portsmouth are top of the away league. 43 points from 21 played.

I assume you are quoting what they had after an even number of games. We have a lopsidedly high number of away games left so may end up with the best away record, we need to do so to have any chance of gaining momentum to take into the playoffs.
