I know there’s backing your own players & getting carried away but this is one of the most delusional posts I’ve ever seen on here. ‘on paper any decent manager would have us top 2 with the current squad at his disposal’ Surely you don’t actually think that.
This did not happen. If anything we were too attack minded against Bolton. Still attacking in large numbers at 2-0 up. They score to get back in the game from us having too many players in their half.
That's correct, they have 4 more points but have played 3 more games. They have averaged 2.04 pp away game, we are at 2.16ppg. Everyone else drops below 2ppg.
Really?... a friend of mine was on the board of a club who employed him fairly recently to keep them in the league, he said his fee is in seven figures.
Asking for Warnock is grasping at straws to fix everything immediately and give people answers, it wouldn't change he's not the messiah, like it or not we have to try and support Collins and the team to (A) make the playoffs and (B) miraculously try to win them. Clearly Neil Collins is getting it and some of it is very justified but there's another chunk that might be uncontrollable (formations/signings) It would Watford esk to sack Collins now and bring someone in for the run in and playoffs, so for me stick with him but there has to be some fundamental changes to how we set up and approach games.
That didn’t happen. There was one moment 5 minutes before they scored where Connell was pressing their keeper. We got caught out from playing too high up the pitch & taking too many risks.
Not the game I watched and I said the same after the game which some people disagreed. I then even posted a Yorkshire post article by a neutral who had the same view that we went defensive and deep at 2 nil took macatee off for a midfielder and tried to defend. I really think that game has done us in terms of demoralising for the players.
At 2-0 we were still attacking in numbers & pushing for a 3rd. After they pulled one back we sat back more.
When he went to a country he’s never managed in, to a team he has no affinity to, with a ***** team who are bottom of the league and who were losing every week before he took over. Football isn’t an exact science. Mark Robins was at Scunny and got sacked after three months, after 2 wins in 8 games. Can’t imagine many would have wanted him just then. So he went back to Coventry in League Two. Our players are good enough to win the play offs.
Warnock would love to manage us. I bet he’d come for next to nothing with a fat promotion bonus tied in.
Really don't get the Warnock love. He's a football dinosaur and we don't have the players to play his tactics.
Who thinks Colin the loathsome one, would really want to join us ehh. With little or no budget to spend, and having to act as a 'coach' to people like Julie Q and co, rather than being allowed to act as the 'manager' that he is. There's more chance of Jim Iley coming back here I'm afraid!.
Even if we had £50m to spend, he wouldn’t be able to spend it, because the window’s closed! He’d be coming in on a caretaker basis till the end of the season, at which point we’d appoint a permanent manager. Even if we got promoted I can’t imagine he’d want to stay with us, for the very reasons you mentioned.
