This is why I’ve lost all enthusiasm, might as well pack it up.

Everybodys lovechild team Wrexham owe their famous owners 9 million pounds.

Always exceptions to everything and I’m sure the ones I’ve mentioned may also be exceptions too.

Point I was trying to make really is clubs don’t have to make huge losses they choose to, some will argue you do to compete, I don’t believe you do with the right plan and execution.

The accounts of 72 league clubs would suggest the contrary.

The majority of players that were signed when we were in the championship will have gone by the summer so our wage bill must be getting lower.

I think you just have to not worry about the rest of it and try to enjoy going to the games (not even necessarily the football)

That's true, but there's much less cash from sponsors and the EFL in League 1, not to mention smaller away followings.

We'll still be making a loss, just a slightly smaller one.

Let's hope that we really go for it and win the playoffs.

I wouldn’t do it. Footballs got to be the only environment where Joe Public accuses successful business people of having no ambition.

I’m a self employed Tradesman, and I’ve been an employer and for me to have millions spare to pump into a football club would need a scary amount of growth for my little business. I darent even think about the amount of staff, and sub contractors I’d have to juggle to have that personal wealth at my disposal.

I’m basically not that motivated, tough, brave, narcissistic or ambitious to go down that route, so I have every respect for anyone with that mindset. They must be incredibly thick skinned too.

But they are choosing to do so, they could choose to cut their cloth accordingly and sign players for much less wages as an example.

We don't just want good business people on the board, we need someone who understands football

They'll be no one hurting more than the board.. it's there money. But as plenty have found out before them up and down the the country.. it's not easy to make money in football.. not impossible, but far from easy..
For the size of your club its support and earning potential.. you just have to find your level where you can operate at without breaking the bank. Whatever that level is..then it is..
It doesn't matter that history says we should at certain level and thats our right by birth..
Things have changed an awful lot in the last 20 years.. where we struggle to compete above where we are. And even to stay at the current level we're losing five million a year..
I've always thought the the acdamy was a good idea but in reality at chain around the club's neck. For what it costs to run compared to what it has returned it's not been worth it.. this club cannot support its infrastructor..

I hear this a lot. What do you mean by academy? Are you referring to the physical structures and pitches? Or simply to the cost of coaching kids?
