Used to love playing in the schoolboys games and played against some decent players. Fantastic warm up before the Super Reds. Despite not playing for Barnsley schoolboys, our side never went to Holland lol furthest we went was Worksop or East Lindsey.
My lad doesn’t play for them, just seen it on Facebook and thought it’s good to know that some Barnsley teams do know how to win. Apparently they’ve also won their league, 6 points in front of nearest rivals, Leeds.
Fair play. Leeds were never allowed to play academy players when we played them so weren’t much good. East Riding (us), Hull and Nottingham were the best sides when I played.
