I obviously want us to thrive and get promoted but the stark reality is we would get battered nearly every week. The loss offset plus owners putting less in and players wages increasing would leave very little to improve the quality of the squad.
Hopefully that puts to bed our recent blip and we can put a run together from now until the end of season and continue through the POs
Who would have thought that bringing attacking players on would lead to us err attacking… Collins Ball relies on results and today a 15 minute spell has dragged us over the line takes nothing away from awful initial team selection and painful first half but I don’t want him out. As Gordon says I want us to win our last 6 games 25236 nil with 26429 from Watters.
He was appropriately placed to be able to kick the ball twice into the opponents net from the chances he was given. You would expect nothing less of a decent level footballer. He's been sour gravy for weeks so let's hope he's michelin 3 star till the end of the season.
Much much better second half. But how infuriating to yet again go behind and have a 1st half like that. I still cant fathom why the line up at the start, but all we want right now is points. We got them.
Now take that 2nd half performance and repeat it in every game Home and Away for the full 90 + minutes and we just might get promoted.
With Lincoln and Oxford having to play each other, 2 wins from 6 games all but mathematically guarantees a play off spot now. Just got back in after being otherwise occupied all afternoon. Happy with the win but this thread was a bizarre read with the benefit of knowing the scoreline.
It’s one of the most bizarre seasons I’ve seen watching Barnsley I can’t recall a manager having fans chanting for him out while sitting comfortably in the playoffs but i generally think some fans had a agenda against Collins even before a ball was kicked and don’t get me wrong the performances at times this season have been god awful including today’s first half but he’s definitely earned the chance to start next season in charge it’s the quality of our recruitment that needs to improve.
I imagine all the bairns that were wobbling on at half time have quite shut the **** up by now. Good lads, now drink your fizzy pop and have a nap.
you were happy with that first half then? Like every game I have ever been to fans discuss the game and say it as they have seen it.Same as the game goes along collective groans or cheers give you the fans view on the game. Or are you living in a parallel universe?
and as far as I could see everybody who wasn’t happy first half commented in a positive way on the second half performance, so I don’t see your problem. Or did you just come on to be deliberately arsey?
