Did anyone else see him at the game today?
He was sat next to our fans in the seated area just at side of Collins dugout

Now that was a player. Arguably one of the greatest midfielders in the history of the game, yet such a low key, humble fella. The reputation he has with the game’s absolute legends is mad.

Doubt most if any saw him. We barely filled the section up to the netting 25 yds, if that, from the away end. Dozens of empty seats.
rest to the half way line were Burton but very sparse.

Best player I’ve ever seen in flesh. Unbelievable talent.

Pretty sure they were all seats for the exec boxes to use during the game

I was trying to explain this to a 20-year old Man United fan the other day who just didn't get it and that he could be better than Rooney, Ronaldo et al.

It was only a few years after the Premier League season, where I'd watched many quality players. But it's still the most impressed I've ever been when watching an opposing player. He was a joke of a player and I remember him, Stojkovic, Savicevic and Boban for the old Yugoslavia just being ridiculously skilful.

Watched a documentary a while back, about that team and the eventual conflicts that saw the emergence of Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and so on.

But yeah. He took the P*** at Oakwell but was even more amazing at Fratton Park.

yeah, why was that? I tried for seat tickets but they’d sold out. I ended up with the stand uppers

As above, they weren't our seats. To get from concourse to our seats we had to walk in front of the netted off area which i thought was odd but then clocked they were all seats for people in the boxes to use if they wanted an outdoor seat. Either they chose to sit inside or they were nowhere near sold out in hospitality.

Looked like it to me as well. A lot poured out of the sponsors lounges etc. The small section at the side of me up to the netting was barnsley fans but mostly empty.
