My ultimate reds hero was Sir Ronnie (of course) but I thought using a pun on his name would have been done to death. I used Geddis as No one else would ..... and he was good too!
I was also "Abu Dhabi tyke" as i used to live and work out there for a bit....thankfully changed it when I came back around 12 years ago.

My profile says that I've been a member since 2011 but that's when I adopted this name, based on the town that I spent many happy years living in - Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire. As I have moved so often in my lifetime I saw no point in changing it again, and I like it anyway :). I'm hoping to revisit the place for another Wembley final soon. I usually drive there and park at the station before getting a direct train to Wembley Stadium.

Something went wrong with my original account which was GloucesterRed and Admin couldn't fix it so set me up with a new one. I think I must have joined sometime in the early 1990s - can't remember exactly when.

The early 1990s? That would have taken some doing.

Moved to Cork 23 years ago, and a derogatory name for an idiot here is langer, so there we go. Prior to that on the original BBS I was RichA (really boring)

School nickname that I stated using on the early iterations when it was an email mailing list. Just kept it. Sometimes have been on more than others over the years, but am approaching 30 years in the various formats of Barnsley fans communications

This is the only place the old nickname is still used. I don't think anyone has called me it in 20 years

Not from the old chant but from the periodical Private Eye.
The sports writer covering games at Neasdon United was called that.

What was the earliest URL anyone can remember for the BBS? Gonna have a trawl on the internet Time Machine and look for incriminating evidence.

I can quote you match stats from games I saw in the 1960s but cannot remember when the BBS was launched

I was on the email list in a job I worked from 95-early 98 - and on an early incarnation of the BBS (probably the one run by he that shalt not be named) definitely by 2002/3 or so... I can't remember exactly when it appeared though.
