Our very slim chances of 2nd

This is how table could look this time next week Based on us winning Sat/Tue and Pompy beating Shrewsbury at home and Bolton beating Bristol R away . Derby and Peterborough don't play again until next Wednesday night.

Keep the faith its not over until the final whistle on the final day, C,O,Y,R.

 

Two away games too, so a fair chance we will win them both!

Agree though, reckon we have to win all 6 remaining, if we do we'll snatch 2nd. But we won't, unfortunately.

 

After Cheltenham and Cambridge most of us will satisfied with a play off place..there's always a side that has poor late form ( Us) and a side that makes a run (Lincoln)..happy with 5th

 

Another way to look at it is, I can see Derby winning at least 3 of their last 4, which means for us to finish second, we have to win our 6 remaining games, and hope Derby lose at least 1 of theirs.

And that's without considering Bolton and Peterborough.

Call me a pessimist, but I can't even see us winning all of our games, with the way we've been playing, especially at home. I'd like us to face Peterborough in the play-offs, so as long as we do sufficient to finish 4th/5th, and maybe build a bit of confidence with a solid run to end the season, I'll be happy.

Not a prayer. Just need to find some form, especially at home, to hit the play offs running.

 

No chance. We failed to win our ‘easy’ games & now have more difficult ones to come.

3 of the sides Derby are facing will have nothing to play for & Cambridge might also be safe by the time they play them.

 

We have totally no chance of second place. We will be in the play offs and will fall at the first round.

 

Derby are home and dry.

 

Lincoln have more chance of finishing second than us (impossible)

The rest of the Season looks like a free hit for us with Play-Offs more or less guaranteed. If we give it a real go and try and build some momentum whilst Derby, Bolton have one eye on each other for the second Automatic spot who knows what might happen.

 

It's not like you to be so negative!

 

I think the word Honest methinks, come on MF do you really think we will gain 2nd spot or be a force in the play offs?

 

Did Wednesday go into the play-offs last year with any sort of momentum?
