In the group I worked with. about 18. There were 5 Pauls. 4 Johns and 3 Dave's. Hence probably why we all ended up with nicknames. Not sure if a coincidence of popular names at the time. But we were all around the same age. Born in the 50s. Btw. Tim of london tykes used to travel with us when he moved back up north from Southampton.
I remember being on barnsleyfc.co.uk. I got kicked off owing to a supposed lack of use. I used to read a lot of threads but never sign in hence it appeared I never used it. My username is not based on what I may spout on here but is an old nickname based on a part anagram of my name. I then discovered Tosh was an old Viking warrior hence the avatar.
It all started back in 1354 and there was a king called Baern, who in them days lived in a lair and that lair was known as King Baern's lair, Baern had a son and could he fookers like think of a name, anyhow as the bairn laid on the pig skin rug in front of the fire his wife said my what a little winkler hes got, and at that moment King Baern jumped up and called the bairn Winker. Any how cut a long story short Baerns lair over the years developed and changed to Barnsley as we all know. And Winker has passed on through the ages and ere i am, Winker Watson, but the 1354 curse of aving a little winkler still haunts the Winker's t'day.
I used to be Kathmandu Tyke, been Tbilisi Tyke since moving to Georgia and this summer I am moving to Cairo so I suppose I will re-name myself again.
Your screen name is in reference to Shakhtar Donetsk with some of the letters rearranged in a random order, but not all of them? In that case, applying such a strict criteria, I'm named after Oxford United.
