That's me too. I could understand tippy tippy boring Football the first half of the season with the players we had like Killip, Shepherd and Lopata. But with Connell back fit, signing Earl and getting Williams back to full back I thought the second half of the season would have been easier on the eyes.
I hope we do but my feeling all season is we'll just miss out (again) though I do feel we'll go up next season as champions
Weve got 18 points to play for, an i'm saying yes, it can be done, it will be done, an by jove it better be done. Its not going to be easy, but then again been a Barnsley fan aint easy. keep the faith, C,O,Y R. I've changed my vote to no definately not, were just not good enough
We are 4/1 with Hills, which represents a 20% chance. As we look almost certain to be in the playoffs, then that looks like fairish odds. We have the experience of last year's run to the Final to call on, and as last year showed, defeat to our playoff rivals in the regular season doesn't mean we can't win the playoff games. What might help is mass pitch invasions against Reading and Northampton, in the hope that we would be ordered to play both legs of the semi-final away.
What are you basing that on? The number of points we've won from losing positions would suggest otherwise.
I just can't see it happening. Sadly, I think there's too much that needs to come together over 3 play off games in order for us to go up.
Our manager is just not good enough to see us promoted, our home form under his stewardship has been abysmal, we'll miss out and start again with another manager/coach next season.
Hope I’m wrong but gut feeling is no. Defending has been our problem all season and nothing has changed.
Hoping for that is as far fetched as thinking we can still make automatics. He won't be going anywhere.
Pushed i would say no. We are almost in playoffs but the defence worries me badly. So much weaker at the back that last season. Going forward we still score plenty of goals and can go on a run of goals in one half like at burton. But putting 2 halves of football together in a match has been a big issues all season and not forgetting in playoffs we will be playing one of the decent teams in the division which isnt the case most weeks. Hoping for the best
Cant see Collins going anywhere personally, but 5hit happens, not done knowt wrong apart from being a bit on a bore, good luck to him an the team over the next few games.
Impossible to call, so many variables. Who we play in the playoffs Injuries Form Opposition injuries Opposition form Home/away 1st leg Luck on the day Refereeing decisions The playoffs are a lottery, history shows teams can lose or gain form in those games and sheer luck on the day can be a big factor.
Yes that’s something we were lacking last season, despite us being a better side with better management, however just look at the sides we have beaten from losing positions, all bottom half of the league fodder, which to me is actually a worry, that we keep going behind against these teams in the first place. I don’t attribute it to team spirit either, it’s more the individual quality we have In the team.
