No from me because other teams can work out our tactics in a flash. ye we've come from behind loads but thar equates to being behind loads and in a knock out situation I don’t think we have that final drive....ironic that the Oxford game was posted this week cos we all believed even tho we went behind..
I agree that we're lacking some individual quality. We're certainly not as strong as we were this time 12 months ago. But if anything, it's the togethness and team spirit that's got us into this position in my opinion. We are slow starters in games, but more often than not, we still come out on top.
No more or less than any single game though. In fact given there's two games you always get another bite at the cherry.
Agreed. I think we'd probably treat that mentally as an away game and it would suit the team more than the opposition.
I doubt we'll go up but having said that, Wednesday fans gave their side no chance last season after throwing away the auto's and in terrible form.......so who knows what the playoffs will throw up.
Lost six away games last season (one this season). And lost six at Oakwell (we've lost seven this term).
Gut feel is no, for me. This team has failed the basic eyeball test as being one good enough for promotion in a division that is so much weaker than the equivalent last season. Collins hasn't been able to address the inconsistency issues, leading to the unique difference between our home and away records. Unfortunately, I've been watching the home games, so can't offer any real judgement on the genuinely remarkable away record. However, I think the Oakwell version is the one that most accurately reflects who we are, currently. I'd love to have to eat my words in a few weeks time but, assuming we don't allow ourselves to be edged out of the play-off places (which I can't fully rule out) then I'd expect us to fall short in the play-off semi-finals. If we can get through to Wembley then it becomes more of a lottery on the day, but I'd expect us to be facing an in-form Lincoln team if so, who we've proven to be incapable of beating so far. Based on what I've witnessed this season, 5th place is flattering us.
Haha, was thinking that myself, could it be an omen. My head thinks we'll lose over 2 legs in the semis, as our home performances are just so poor.
I'm saying no. We weren't good enough last season. Came really close, but ultimately failed. We're a worse side than last year. Especially at the back, but we've also missed Norwood up top all season. Looking forward to being proved wrong though!
