    He was streets ahead of Kane at Burton, so fair enough for me.

    Flipper feet will be instrumental in our last 6 games ,cos 4 are away , he won't get the negative energy he gets from Oakwell.
    Thought he look very assured at Burton.
    Strangely away fans and commentary are also complimentary about Russell.
    He a bit of a scapegoat at Oakwell imo.
    He is a confidence player ,so this will help him playing away games.

    On the other hand though, in our last match the away fans were chanting for the manager to be sacked. I can’t say I’ve heard that level of negative energy at oakwell this season

    Try sitting in the West Stand ,first time this season against Cambridge it was absolutely Toxic.
    Even Disco mentioned this to me the other day.

    No problem with Russell starting, he’s been decent in recent away games. My only worry is that he tends to struggle against sides that press and I imagine Charlton do under Jones. We’ll see.
    I’d have started Cosgrove before Cole too if I’m honest.

    100% agree ,cozzy poses a bigger threat up front than Cole at this moment.
    Cole as gone 14 games I think without a goal.

    Russell looked good on the ball on Monday - but against a side who gave him time that he will unlikely get today; and his recovery running out of possession is slow and laboured at the best of times.

    No issue with him starting. The manager picks the side he thinks best - but I just hope it doesn’t cost us today.
