But Collins still struggles to cope and can’t get a tune out of these players. Tactically useless, no plan b or plan c and listening to him is like nails scraping down a blackboard. He’s about as enthusiastic as a slug. Don’t blame Collins blame the board for appointing him. With the squad we have the half time draw man would have us in the play offs 75% of this league is utter dross. Collins is out of his depth and looks like he’s lost the changing room. Lots of players already planning their next move and we are doing our best to throw away even getting in the play offs. The problem is that we are short of a striker, cole has ceased to function as one. I would start jalo for our remaing games his enthusiasm and hunger might just pay off

 

You cannot judge anyone until the last game. What will the teams who end up below us think. And if we end up in the championship next season then he will be a success.

Imho...on paper our players are better than 75% of the other clubs personnel.
That said our slow ponderous approach does no one any favors. Oakwell is not a great watch and most teams.....no matter how poor their players, have worked us out....that's down to their coaches.
So how do we spark us ? I'm not sure with the squad we have we can play pacey football...but we can quicken our passing...that is coachable.
We then have the problem that our back 3 plus wing backs can't defend as a unit....no one i have seen can do this with maybe the exception of our injured Pines.....Earl for some reason has looked poor recently.
Midfield ok but lack the pace (but we can quicken the passing).
Up front only Mcatee is at the races...I think the idea of keeping with Cole and hoping his form returns, looks misguided...I would personally start with Cosgrove...go long and hope he can hold it up well enough for the midfield to get involved.
Then change things later in the game if its not working.
Thats all I've got! I'm sure Jalo will come good but its asking a lot at the moment.
Terrible recruitment in the summer has us in this predicament....but I do believe we can kick start ourselves.
