I said the same in the latest sack Collins thread. We have a vocal group of fans who are just as entitled as the millions of Fowls
Maybe some can see our situation differently? We are basically not moving forward are we ? At least some can see we’re not going into Europe in the next few seasons and probably not staying in the Championship if we do go up this season, all I see is stagnation 3rd or 4 th division with the owners we have
Difference been Collins won't go on to manage a Championship club....... Moore and Collins are gulfs apart in terms of management standards.
Exactly where do you see anywhere on the horizon where any other owners would come from? Just asking.
Doesn't mean we shouldn't call out the current owners for making far too many mistakes and running the club in a way which prevents any long term sustained success and is ultimately going to lead to stagnation and or decline. Where are the Kitchings, Anderson's, Morris's in the current squad?; where's the money coming from to fund the club next year? Their model fails to build on success and instead seeks to cash in on its saleable assets asap it depends on a scatter gun approach to incoming transfers unearthing at least 2 or 3 saleable assets every 12 months to two years where are those assets in the current squad????
Really? Not sure what anyone sees in Moore as a manager. He was lucky at Wednesday, alot of fans hated his brand of football. He failed at Huddersfield and is now struggling at Port Vale. Nice bloke but I’d be horrified if he became our manager.
Not got a clue mate, for new owners to come in I reckon we need to get it right on the pitch ie a motivational Manager, players who are full of confidence and hungry for success coaches who can get the best out of players, All I see at the moment is the opposite
Not going to be a Manager change until this season is over, even then it will depend on promotion. Sadly as many have said before if he goes were not getting a manager in the style of Warnock etc because they want to run the club their way and that's not in the plan. Agree that there's no new owners on the horizon but also agree we're not looking like the next big thing. So sadly the stagnation feeling is where we are at. The thing is we get a decent crowd to play at the top end of league 1 and that seems to be our natural position now....
In my opinion the whole Club needs to change, new owners will buy into a Club that’s run right ie moving forward not backwards
There are no new owners coming in. The current owners have ploughed millions into gaining majority control, and millions more into keeping it afloat. Feels very unlikely that anyone is coming in with the money needed to cover that investment.
Mystic Smeg , where were you when we were in the championship playoffs , promotion , heading for a second successive playoff spot , but no the table lies we are really heading into the 4th division even if we get promoted…. Bonkers
We are the underperformers in this league, you can get advice from the coach but we av a lack of communication or the players just wont or dont want to respond, Collins is'nt a bad coach its the players who arnt listening, we av a decent squad, i think our problems are in the dressing room. We'll be good enough to make the playoffs, i'm not sure we'll be good enough to win em but if Collins can unite the squad in the next few weeks weve got as good a chance as the others, keep the faith, i'm looosing mine a bit. C,O,Y,R.
Well we’ll see,no way am I a mystic just a realist. I really hope we get promoted and then we’ll see how these owners and the Club react, by the way I’ve supported this Club since 1964 and will continue to do so thick and thin
The head coach is not the problem imo, it's the recruitment that needs addressing. The spread sheet would not have us signing Alfie May, it would be youngsters with a resale value. This is wrong and needs to change quickly.
The trouble is the strikers we signed were all 24,5,6..with no great track records other than lower league or Scottish football, I don't know who we paid money for.. but other than Cosgrove who scored a few at Plymouth, I can't see much if any resale value in them at all.
