    I've heard the war in Ukraine being blamed for a lot of stuff,but now it's also responsible for Everton's points deductions???

    Usmanov was a big investor. But being Russian he was effectively booted out of the country when the invasion occurred which left a huge black hole in their finances.

    just heard on talk sport (and for balance) the premier league were in receipt of monies themselves from a Russian (think it was television rights) backers....which didn't end until 2022!!
