I'm surprised that you had us down for 10th-12th before a ball was kicked, l know we lost defenders but we still had some very good players for this division.

Yep worrying. We should always be working as hard or harder than other teams. Many of the players tonight (and the last few games) were content with strolling around the pitch.

We're such a soft touch at the moment. I'd hazard a guess that even most L2 sides, if they put a shift in and got the ball forward, would comfortably beat us. I predicted 10th-12th at the start of the season, so for us to be 5th, with the utter bilge we're witnessing on the pitch, is frankly astonishing.
    Spot on

When we needed a goal and were playing a team of giants why would we take off any physical presence off the pitch and yeah it’s Cosgrove and he’s basically a pub player but he might have unintentionally caused a bit of chaos.

Got sympathy with Collins in regard to recruitment but this group of players have got worse under him. A good coach improves players and ours are going backwards….fast. He was a centre half by trade and is presiding over our worst defence at this level in living memory.
He gets to the end of the season for me but I’d make a change in the summer. If only to sell season tickets cos a lot are not going to bother renewing the way things going.

Yep, the corners, free kicks, general organisation, motivation, confidence, improvement of players are all the head coaches responsibilities and it's hard to see where he is excelling.

Threaded the ball through to Philips who inexplicably waited a second the powered it past Cole. Should have scored.

sublime through ball to Cole to leave him one on one with keeper , fouled by defender and ref inexplicably gave nothing.

Two game changing moments from him.

I also thought he looked calm and measured on the ball, aside from his strange pass that gave them a corner.

I have never warmed to him or rated him but talk of sacking him is madness.

I’d move and heaven and earth to get Duff back pre season mind you.

Posted it a few times. I thought we'd have an interesting season and flirt occasionally with the top 6, with Collins properly getting his act together next season with a bit of squad juggling. Only really started preparing the humble pie in February when it looked like we might actually do it.
I also think we've got some very good players for this division, which given what he's done to them, is the reason he has to go.

He's infinitely better than Russell whose only job is to protect the defence which he just does not do. Kane has to start the next game

Alan Sugar has just been seen pointing his finger at Collins saying “It is with regret Neil but You’re Fired”.

I posted earlier this week that im more happy clapper than doom and gloom but jesus that was terrible. no doubt if this was mid season he would be gone but at this point I can't see it happening..unless we hit the point where we can't make the play offs then they'll sack him

I’d go the other way, I think we will make the playoffs but our only way of avoiding total embarrassment in them is without him

Kane benefited today because Stevenage dropped deep and allowed us more time on the ball in my opinion if he had started he wouldn’t have made any difference he’d have been bullied just like the rest of them.

We will still be in league one next term, play offs or not. We are in a false position and deserve to remain in this wildierness.

The service revolver can't be found. Neither can the banjo. No one knows where they are, or the barn door.

    I've lost interest now.

Never has this happened since 1975, but I'm done for this season. Utterly uninspired.

    Turgid effort tonight.

Coupled with no obvious style of play. All season. But something was right about our away days - till now.

We do need to allow Collins until at least the end of the season. I'd give him till the end of September. Cos we aren't going to go up.

These players are so unreliable - we have almost a whole team of not knowing who'll turn up and play.

Is this down to the coach? Not sure, but I can't see what Collins brings to each game. Tonight I could see Stevenage's changes and understand them (as a bozo).

    Couldn't see anything from us.

Pray for a play off place.

Complete and utter ********. It really is.

Every single player has got worse under this clown than previously shown, be that for us or other teams. He hasn’t got an ounce of improvement out of a single player. Not one.

The defence has got worse as time goes on. Performances get worse by the game.

He doesn’t have as good a squad as last season - but duff improved the team and the players. Collins has weakened every area.

I don’t buy into the rhetoric absolving him of blame. He is the head coach and I’ve seen no evidence of any coaching whatsoever.

"Every single player has got worse under this clown than previously"

Not really.. Kane and Cole have scored more under Collins than they did under the previous manager.
Cadden and Williams were better last season because they had some good quality players to rely on in defence.. who were subsequently sold.
