I'm certainly not going to argue over it haha. But I'd suggest that Neerav comes across as enthusiastic, JAQ, whilst probably enthusiastic also, gives off an air of distain for anyone who wishes to even constructively criticise. *I do not count blatant abuse as constructive criticism. I watched the last fans forum meeting, and whilst I can't recall the exchanges word for word, there were several who asked what appeared to be genuine points to the three of them, Neerav always played with a straight bat the best he could, Collins sat there, arms folded, not saying much of anything, but JAQ's replies did have a certain "edge" to them. Almost a sort of "how dare you question your betters" air to her replies.
I would like to think the target was promotion and that could still happen. Problem is in 4 weeks and 8 games we have gone from having the chance to go joint second with games in hand to looking over our shoulders in the hope no one knocks us out of the playoffs
I completely disagree, she corrected & disagreed with some people, and some people didn't like that. She also stuck up for herself. I honestly don't know why she bother to put even more money into the club. People berate her for advertising the club and trying to highlight the women's team (which is actually her job, btw, not player recruitment & contracts, and has been said many times), yet the same people will moan about all the 'non-league donkey' players we're signing.
I think it's two reasons; one positive, one negative. On the upside, she's the most visible and available to the fans, which is a credit to her - we see very little of Neerav and the Crynes are nigh-on reclusive. The other one is - she's pretty combative and forthright. That's all good when things are going well, but when you're presiding over this sort of mess and have that type of New York bombastic attitude - you're going to become a lightning rod for peope's frustrations.
It's not solely his job to select the players to go for. He is part of a team doing that. His job is to then get contracts over the line. I doubt that needs coaching abilities.
How does replying with an insult like 'idiot' work? No better than that posters comment about JAQ TBF. Hardly constructive.
That's the problem. I wish we were total crap and I could glaze my ceremonial sacking ham. As it stands I'm pissed off but I like the bloke. I really do.
Mostly I do, but JAQ has come in for absolutely horrendous, vile, unacceptable abuse on Twitter. If they want to go on Twitter and carry on, fair dos. Out of our control. But I won't stand for it on here, or behaviour that encourages it.
Something has to change because what we are doing isn't working. Is it a motivation thing? Is it the players are purely playing out his rigid gameplan or is it that the players just don't have the heart for a battle? When I look at the squad dynamic for instance when we miss a chance, there always seems to be a bit of disdain from another player like why didn't you pass to me etc.. When the mentality should be as a team, unlucky let's push again. Certainly the passing at the back is slowing us down and making us easy to read. Every move out is almost a carbon copy. Collins may be a nice bloke but I just don't see us being successful in this division with him at the helm. Said it before, very weak division this year and will be far stronger looking at the teams likely to be relegated for next season. Why has he not given Nathan James a crack at the back when week after week we concede really poor goals? He was on the bench last match and never got a look in. This match didn't even get named in the squad. He could add that missing bit of pace. Collins just seems a bit one dimensional in his setup.
